What is a hackathon?
A hackathon is an event in which teams work together to create a project, which is then judged at the end. You can create anything you like be it hardware, software, or both. It is a chance for you to create, educate, and innovate.
CAN I CONTINUE A PREVIOUS PROJECT?
To ensure fairness, all teams must start a project from scratch for the event. We recommend brainstorming for ideas beforehand!
How can i help?
You can help out by telling others about this event, such as your friends or school's counselors so that they can notify the entire school. Alternatively, if you have graduated, you can sign up to be a mentor or judge for the event by clicking the appropriate sign up button at the top of the page. Lastly, you can sponsor us by emailing us at email@example.com. Check out the sponsorship prospectus here.
Who can participate?
Anyone who is in high school at the time of the event can attend the event. If you have graduated, feel free to sign up as a volunteer or judge using the sign up button at the top of the page. If you are in middle school but would still like to attend, shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll try to accommodate you.
how can i form/join a team?
You can come to the event with a team in mind or you can create/join a team at the start of the event. We will make sure you have some time to do this before the event starts.
Does this cost money?
No. This event is 100% free for all attendees, volunteers, mentors and judges!
do i need previous experience?
No! Anyone regardless of experience or skill level is able to attend. We will have a team ready to help you out if you need it, and besides, Google is your best friend!
